MPB is the genetic result of hormonal changes as men age. Over time, it often renders a “balding horseshoe” scalp as hair on the sides and back of the head remain unaffected. With SMP, balding areas can be filled with pigment that blends seamlessly into any existing hair on the top, sides, and back of the head.
Alopecia is an auto immune disease where the body attacks its own hair follicles causing hair loss in patches. The onset of Alopecia can occur suddenly and without warning. For those affected with any form of alopecia, rather than resorting to wigs and hair transplants, SMP can provide a permanent and natural looking outcome.
Receding hairlines can occur in both men and women, but they’re typically one of the first signs of onset male pattern baldness. Although a receded hairline poses no health risk, it can still be visually upsetting. SMP restores hairlines to natural youthful-looking levels.
While many clients seek SMP to conceal scalp scarring from FUT or FUE hair transplants, SMP effectively conceals an scarring present on the scalp by filling it in with pigment that matches your hair color.
Although female pattern baldness is much less common, women can experience a general thinning of the scalp due to age and hormonal changes. SMP can restore the appearance of a thicker head of hair regardless of the length of the existing hair.
